It is not difficult to whip out the dishes you eat at the Peranakan restaurants or even that of your Nonya grandma’s cooking. Come learn the art of pounding, grinding and sautéing and of course the tasting.
- Nonya CHAP CHYE...traditional Nonya style mixed vegetables
- Ayam BUAH KELUAK...this dish is an acquired taste for those not familiar with the black buah keluak, and you learn the art of chicken curry making
- Nasi ULAM....it literally means "salad rice” made with local herbs, leaves and vegetables along with dried prawns, fish, dessicated coconut and even more garnishing….taste the burst of nature in your mouth!
- Sambal NANAS....learn to make a great sambal belachan first and then this perfect side dish for the above
